ST. SIMONS ISLAND, GA (WTOC) - Professional golf is returning to the Coastal Empire this weekend as some of the best in the world will tee off at the RSM Classic at Sea Island.
Mid-November isn't exactly the peak of the PGA Tour season, but you wouldn't be able to tell from looking at the field of the RSM Classic. The tournament won't feature the biggest names in golf, but there will be plenty of fan favorites, including Matt Kuchar, Smylie Kaufman, and 2015 RSM Classic Champ, Kevin Kisner.
"I just love Sea Island and St. Simons Island. It's a special place. We played the SEC Championship here every year. I'm feeling really comfortable. I've had success here, and am looking forward to it," Kisner said.
"This is the best field we've ever had. You know, we're not going to get everybody this time of year, and we knew that going in, but we have a great field. It's not the Players' Championship, but it's close," said Davis Love III, RSM Classic Tournament Host.
There will be plenty of major champions playing as well. Ernie Els, Zach Johnson, and Bubba Watson will all tee it up.
