Man convicted for rape, child molestation believed to be hiding in Glynn Co.

GLYNN CO., GA (WTOC) -

The United States Marshals Service is searching for a Fulton County man convicted of statutory rape and child molestation believed to be in Glynn County.

Charles Barry Pinckney, a former corrections officer in Atlanta, was convicted of statutory rape and child molestation and was sentenced to 45 years in prison. Pinckney left before the conclusion of the trial.

The U.S. Marshals Service reports that Pinckney has immediate family in Glynn County and they have a credible lead that he is in the Brunswick and Glynn County area.

Pinckney is a 26-year-old black male. He stands around 6-foot-1 and weighs 180 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair.
