School doesn't start until Monday, but some students showed up on the bus a little early. On purpose. Each year, bus company Laidlaw gives students the opportunity to stand at the bus stop and catch a ride to and from school so they aren't scared on Monday.
This is especially helpful for kindergarteners or students who are going to a new school. Although many people did not take advantage of the opportunity today, the students who ride say now they are ready for the real deal.
"There will be so many kids and I can make new friends," said second grader Hunter Mungrove.
This is not only good for students, but bus drivers get to know their routes and their kids.
