COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – As cooler temperatures arrive next week, Ralston Towers' owners prepare for recorder's court to evaluate current code violations.

On Jan. 2, 2017, some residents complained that their units did not have heat, and later, complaints of no hot water as a result of a broken boiler also surfaced.

Only residents of 24 units without heat were relocated since the last code inspection, but other residents with heat are still allowed to stay at the Ralston.

In the next few days, with colder temperatures arriving, if there are more problems with other units and their heaters, they too will be provided alternate motel accommodations.

A judge will be evaluating what work the owners have done since the last citations were issued. The Ralston’s court date is Wednesday, Jan. 17th at recorder’s court.
