More heavy equipment is heading west. JCB is sending some of its construction equipment straight from the factory in Pooler, and from rental offices around the country, to help clean up the mess Hurricane Katrina left behind.
"We're a family business and we should help wherever we can," said marketing VP Paul Keogh. "It's not just about machines, it's about people, and one of scarce resources during this crisis is people being able to operate machines in and out of very difficult circumstances."
They're also sending about 30 people from their offices around the world to help with disaster relief.
