Two Arrests in School Bus Arson

Two arrests have been made in the school bus arson case from last week (School Bus Arson Investigated). Last Thursday night, three Savannah-Chatham school buses were set on fire while parked at Leroy Myers Middle School.

Today the board of education held a news conference to announce that two boys have been arrested in the case, a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old. Officials say the boys did not attend the middle school but are students in the school district.

"The juvenile is being detained in the youth detention center and he will have his day in court," said Chief Ulysses Bryant of the campus police. "The 17-year-old will be arraigned tomorrow."

Both boys are facing arson charges, and there are many more charges pending.
