SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The U.S. Marshals and Savannah Police Department’s SWAT team served a warrant at the Motel 6 on Fort Argyle Road in Savannah on Wednesday.

According to an official with Savannah PD, a warrant was served for multiple drug offenses out of Hampton County, SC. One person was taken into custody. We do not know the identity of that person at this time.

A witness at the scene, Jimmy Horne, told WTOC, "I heard four loud explosions. Two of them back to back, and then 20 minutes later two more. They come in my room, went out the window, lifted a camera up to the room above me, Horne said. "They had a camera with a pole where they could see he was barricaded up in his room using my room."

Horne says the overwhelming amount of law enforcement and chaos of the scene was shocking.

"I'd have never thought someone like that could have been above me the whole time. I'd have never known," he said.

We've reached out to the U.S. Marshals Office and the Hampton County Sheriff's Office, but have not heard back.
