HAMPTON CO., SC (WTOC) -

A Varnville teenager has been arrested and charged with murder following a triple homicide on March 25.

The Hampton County Sheriff's Office and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division arrested 17-year-old Tyrase Collins and charged him with three counts of murder and armed robbery and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Officials say the homicide on Priscilla Lane took the lives of Ghazi Duckett, Frank Johnson, Jr., and Lamekia Warren.

As a result of the search warrant conducted by the HCSO on April 5 at a home on Crews Street, Collins was also charged with drugs, manufacturing, distribution of cocaine base drugs, distribute, sell, manufacture, or PWID of controlled substance near school, weapons, sale, delivery, possession by certain persons unlawful, and a stolen pistol.

Sheriff T.C. Smalls commends the officers, investigative team, and SLED for the professionalism and dedication to law enforcement in bringing closure to the victims' families.

This is still an active investigation, and anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact HCSO at 803.914.2200 or 866.942.1120. You can also e-mail them at sheriffcrimewatch@hamptoncountysc.org, or contact SLED.
