SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Kids at the Frank Callen Boys and Girls Club spent Friday cleaning up the community.
Around 25 youngsters got an early start celebrating Earth Day. Before heading out to pick up trash, twigs, and branches on Charlton Street and Lane in Savannah, they got a lesson on the importance of keeping the community environment clean.
"It's just a chance for us to allow the children to take responsibility for the community and making sure it stays beautiful," said Kibwana Wright, Mentor Director.
Earth Day is this Sunday, the 22nd. The movement started more than 40 years ago.
