HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (WTOC) - A Hilton Head Island teenager has been arrested and charged with attempted murder after two women were injured during a shooting on Mackerel Drive over the weekend.
The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office presented the facts of their case to a Beaufort County magistrate on Tuesday and obtained arrest warrants for Marcus Griffin for two counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a weapon in the commission of a violent crime.
Wednesday afternoon, Griffin turned himself in to deputies in Bluffton and was arrested and served with the three warrants. Deputies transported him to the Beaufort County Detention Center, where he was incarcerated without incident. He has yet to receive a bond hearing.
The two women injured Saturday by Griffin's gunfire have since been released from the hospital. The incident remains under investigation.
