Claxton crash sends bicyclist to hospital

CLAXTON, GA (WTOC) -

Georgia State Patrol is investigating a crash this morning in Claxton that sent a man on a bicycle to the hospital.

The investigating trooper says it happened around 11:30 a.m. on Highway 301 in front of the Dairy Queen.

A car struck the bicycle rider. EMS crews took him to the Evans County airport, where he was flown to Savannah by medical chopper. GSP Sergeant Chris Rodewolt says charges are pending.
