TYBEE ISLAND, GA (WTOC) -

Tybee Island Police are telling residents to be on the lookout after a rash of car break-ins on the island.

Police say several vehicles were broken into either in the overnight or early-morning hours Tuesday on the north side of the island.

Law enforcement wants to remind all citizens to lock their vehicles, houses, and any other buildings they may have on their property. Also, police say to never leave a firearm in your vehicle.

Any residents who have security cameras in the area of Naylor Avenue or Taylor Street, you are asked to contact the Tybee Island Police Department.
