HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (WTOC) - A Hilton Head man is behind bars after Beaufort County investigators obtained warrants for his arrest.
Officials arrested 38-year-old Dominic Frost following an investigation into sales of illegal drugs at the Woodhaven apartment complex on Hilton Head. Investigators obtained warrants for four counts of sale and distribution of cocaine and one count of driving under suspension. They also obtained a warrant to search his apartment at Woodhaven for illegal drugs.
Thursday morning, investigators found Frost in the parking lot of the apartment complex and arrested him for the five active warrants. When they searched him, they found crack cocaine and marijuana in his pockets. They took him into custody, then searched his apartment, locating and seizing crack and powder cocaine.
Based on the illegal drugs found in his possession and inside his apartment, Frost was also charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine within a half mile of a school, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine within a half mile of a school, and simple possession of marijuana.
Frost was transported to the Beaufort County Detention Center and incarcerated without incident. As of Thursday evening, he has yet to receive a bond hearing for the 10 charges and remains incarcerated.
