The Effingham County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect for the disappearance and death of Jamison Lemons.

Justin Jammison, 27, of Lanier White Road, has been arrested and charged with murder and concealing a death.

On May 7, 2017, the Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Department began an investigation on the disappearance of Lemons of a Margery Street address in Savannah. According to a release, the investigation revealed that Lemons’ last known location was a residence in Effingham County.

In June of 2017, the sheriff’s office and Metro executed a search warrant at 167 Lanier White Road in Clyo, GA, and discovered burned and dismembered human remains.

This month, the sheriff’s office was notified that DNA testing positively identified the remains as Lemons.
