SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

A two-year-old from Liberty County won his battle with cancer and is now giving back to the hospital that helped make it happen.

The Futch family donated a bell to Memorial Hospital for future children to ring after completing treatment. Their son, Clayton Futch, was diagnosed with cancer last year. The family says they have been amazed by the response of the community and the care Clayton received.

"Just to have something big and symbolic to go through, it's just an unexplainable feeling to know what it means and what it symbolizes when you ring it," said Clayton's mother, Janie Futch.

The family says they got the idea of ringing a bell from a hospital in Boston where Clayton received treatment. The Futch's say Clayton is responding well to the treatment.
