SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The Savannah Civic Center was decked out with people in costumes, games, and fan lore for the Savannah Mega Comic Con.
They were able to see comic books and games on display as well as statues from their favorite comic books. There even were some special guest appearances, including the voice cast of Dragon Ball Z, Jake the Snake, and a power ranger.
The promotion manager of this event says why this kind of event is so important to the Savannah community.
"For us to be able to come together, It's just like one of those sporting events for football, you want to be able to get together with people who have the same interests with, hang out and just conversate and you know, just talk about the things you love."
The convention was originally founded back in 2011. All mothers were able to get in for free for mothers day on Sunday.
