SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

For the first time since the arrest of a local private school teacher, police have released their initial report on what victims claim teacher and track coach Joey Morcock was doing to them in class.

The accusations of the 38-year-old teacher taking upskirt photos and videos of his students first surfaced back on April 23. The witness reports to police make it clear. They believed Mr. Morcock was haphazardly attempting to get the footage on a whim.

The report that convinced detectives to arrest Morcock was disturbing, to say the least. It describes a plan by the physics teacher to capture upskirt images and video in class, in plain sight of other students, ignoring the possibility that those other students might just recognize exactly what he was trying to do. This is how one of the 17-year-old alleged victims described the classroom atmosphere created by what she told police was her teacher's attempt to get footage up her and her classmates' skirts.

"When the victim needs help in class, he will come around and stand next to them and bend over and takes pictures," she said.

She goes on to say that Morcock would sometimes be exposed because...

"When the victims stand up, his camera has caught their skirts and sometimes their legs, because his phone is behind them."

The victim also made it clear to police that, despite only two girls coming forward...

"The victim says that other students have experienced this as well and that they are afraid to tell anyone."

Joey Morcock is out on bond after a judge set it this past weekend at $50,000. He has been fired from his position at St. Vincent's Academy. The school told us last week that it teaches all students to report any and all wrongdoing by staff and students, and that the school is proud of the young women who came forward to report these alleged incidents involving Mr. Morcock.
