GLYNN CO., GA (WTOC) - A Glynn County Police Department lieutenant was arrested following a domestic incident over the weekend.
Glynn County officials say Police Chief John Powell was made aware of the early Sunday morning incident involving Lieutenant Robert Sasser. After reviewing body camera footage of the incident, the chief agreed the incident should be referred to judicial review. A judge then issued two warrants for Sasser's arrest, including simple battery and criminal trespass.
Sasser turned himself in on Monday. He has been placed on administrative leave without pay pending the outcome of an internal investigation into his arrest.
