STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) - A Statesboro landmark will be brighter, thanks to a gift from a world-famous theater in Atlanta.
The Emma Kelly Theater upgraded its lighting and production with a grant from the Fox Theater. The gift from the Fox Theater Foundation of nearly $20,000 helped the Averitt Center for the Arts upgrade their theater with state of the art lighting and digital projectors.
"Having this new lighting package really allows us to expand our creativity on stage," said Jamie Grady, Averitt Center for the Arts.
Grady says the new lighting will also save electricity and cut their utility costs.
