EFFINGHAM CO., GA (WTOC) - On Sunday, the Effingham Community Orchestra held a concert at the Effingham County Recreation and Parks Department Gymnasium.
The orchestra performed many patriotic pieces including "Stars and Stripes Forever", "1812 Overture", and other favorites. There was also a used book sale before and after the concert.
Organizers have been putting this particular concert together since December.
"It takes choosing the music, it takes working with the musicians, it takes working with the team of volunteers to help work and do the other activities that's going around throughout the day. Greeting, selling the books, helping with the setup and breakdown," said Andrea Huff, founding director and CEO of Effingham Community Orchestra.
Huff says the orchestra was founded 11 years ago.
