The long-awaited summer season is almost here for kids around the Coastal Empire and Low Country...
A couple hundred kicked off their summer vacation with some of college football's best players this weekend.
The stars were out at the annual All-American Football Camp at Hilton Head High School this weekend.
Players like Georgia's Richard LeCounte, Clemson's Christian Wilkins and Hunter Renfrow, and Ohio State's Mike Weber and J.K. Dobbins were the coaching staff at the camp, giving the kids a chance to learn from some of the nation's very best.
"These guys are all these kids' heroes on Saturdays and Sundays," says Hilton Head head football coach and camp organizer BJ Payne. "When you come here, you get a chance to work with and learn from the best from Clemson, South Carolina, Georgia, Louisville, and Ohio State. That's a great thing."
"It's been a great experience, coming back another year, sharing this time with the kids, and having some fun," says Georgia defensive back Richard LeCounte. "You get to see some guys from some different places, and just enjoy football."
Afterwards, campers were able to get their shirts signed by the college stars.
The 2019 All American Camp is already scheduled for next May.
