SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

There was a heavy police presence Sunday night on West 40th Street at MLK Boulevard in Savannah.

Officials say officers were called to the 500 block of West 40th Street around 9:15 p.m. Two men were in an altercation when a gun went off and one of them fell down some stairs. That man has non-life-threatening injuries, but police say it's unclear whether those injuries are from the fall or being grazed by a bullet.

Police say the two men were not acquaintances.

No one has been charged or is wanted at this time.

The investigation is ongoing. If you have any information regarding this incident, call Savannah police.
