Police looking for suspect after armed robbery at CVS on Ogeechee Road

Chatham County Police are looking for the suspect in an armed robbery that took place at the CVS on Ogeechee Road at Cottonvale Road, Tuesday morning. 

Officers responded to an initial call of theft by taking at about 8:05 a.m. They say the suspect showed a note to the store clerk, demanding money. Police say the suspect also threatened the manager, stating he had a pipe bomb. He got away with $187 in cash from the register. 

The suspect is described as a black male around 6 feet tall. He was wearing black sweatpants with a burgundy hoodie with 'NIKE' written on the front. He was also carrying a black book bag with a white border that also has 'NIKE' written on it. 

Officers have reviewed surveillance footage and ATF has been notified of the incident. ATF will treat the report as an advisory should there be any future incidents.
