The Savannah State men's basketball program has established itself as one of the highest scoring, fastest paced in all of college basketball.
But it appears the Tigers will be having to move on without their top scorer next season.
CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein reports Dexter McClanahan is transferring from the program to Nicholls State. McClanahan led the Tigers in scoring last season with 15.6 points per game, and was an All-MEAC Second Team selection. He surpassed 1000 career points in Feburary.
The Stockbridge, GA native just finished his junior season at The Marsh, so if he does leave, he'll be forced to redshirt for the season he must sit out after transferring. McClanahan would play his final season of eligibility in 2019-2020.
