SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - A woman is lucky to be alive after a serious early-morning rollover crash in Savannah.
A Chatham County Police officer at the scene tells us a woman was traveling at a very high rate of speed in a sedan in the 1600 block of Hendry Avenue when she lost control of the vehicle and struck a brick mailbox, causing the sedan to roll over onto its roof.
When police and emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found the woman who was driving the car sitting outside of the vehicle on a curb. She was not injured.
The crash scene has since cleared.
Police are still investigating to determine what caused the crash, and it is unknown if the woman will be charged or not.
Chatham County Police, the Chatham County Sheriff's Office and Chatham Fire & EMS all responded.
