GLYNN CO., GA (WTOC) - The attorney for a Glynn County man convicted of killing his entire family is asking for a new trial.
In August 2009, then 22-year-old Guy Heinze Jr. called 911 claiming his entire family was dead. Four years later, a jury found him guilty in the killings of eight people.
On Tuesday, Heinze was back in court. His lawyers argued for a new trial, claiming it was impossible for Heinze to have killed eight people by himself.
The mother of four of the victims, Diane Isenhour, spoke after the hearing.
"I don't get to see my kids but he can walk around, my kids is gone," Isenhour said. "He don't need another chance."
In addition to Isenhour's four children, the court convicted Heinze of killing his father, his uncle, his cousins and his cousin's boyfriend.
