SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Savannah's largest fireworks show will be this Wednesday on River Street.
The Savannah Waterfront Association is hosting the Fourth of July Celebration with all-day festivities.
The event begins Wednesday at noon and lasts until 11 p.m. There will be live entertainment from bands and DJs like Liquid Ginger, Mystic Vibrations, Free Spirit Orchestra and DJ Gabe.
"So just a word of caution, when you are leaving about 10 or so, hang out and spend a little bit more time downtown until that initial rush can clear out. It usually takes an hour to an hour-and-a-half after the fireworks for the initial burst of cars to get out of the downtown area," said Eddie Grant, City of Savannah.
"We tend to have a large group all exit at the same time at the conclusion of the fireworks. We want to encourage people to be patient if you are driving. If you are walking, be careful and use sidewalks, crosswalks and adhere to pedestrian signals," said Steve Henry, City of Savannah.
Fireworks will start at 9:30 p.m.
