No-wake zones implemented along the May River in Bluffton

BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) - As more people head out on the water this summer, here is a reminder about two new no-wake zones that were recently implemented along the May River in Bluffton.

In May, South Carolina Department of Natural Resources officials placed buoys, markers and signage about the zones. The zones are located around the town's Oyster Factory Park Boat Landing and the Calhoun Street public dock.

The no-wake zones extend from the riverbank to create an approximately 74-yard buffer around the boat ramp and an almost 50-yard buffer around the public dock.
