Police looking for man who stole box trailer from Savannah business

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Savannah Police detectives are asking for the public's help to identify a man who stole a box trailer on June 9. 

Officials say the theft took place at Savannah Metal Works on the 100 block of Estus Drive. The business's camera footage captured a black male in a black pickup truck drive into the parking lot and attach a white box trailer to the vehicle before driving off.

The trailer is described as a white 6X12 Empire Cargo box trailer with Georgia tag TR98Z50. The trailer has slight damage to the left side. 

The suspect is described as wearing a green shirt, light colored pants, dark shoes, and a hat during the incident. 

Anyone with information on the suspect’s identity is asked to call the SPD Eastside Precinct tip line by dialing 912.525.2355. Information may also be forwarded to CrimeStoppers at 912.234.2020. Tipsters remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
