The Coastal Plain League makes it official today...Bananas Head Coach Tyler Gillum is the head coach for the National team in the upcoming All-Star Show...
Gillum earns the honor with the Bananas winning the first half of the season in the South Division. Six Banana players are on the All-Star team. The Bananas first year coach credits his his entire team for the honor.

"You know it's going to be an awesome experience, everyone is going to be there, the best players in the league are going to be there. Really I got chosen because I got an awesome group of boys here in Savannah, that's what it came down to, they did all the playing on the field. I'm pretty sure that's how it gets chosen, the team that has the best record in our half gets to be the head coach, so that's how it worked out so thanks to the guys, thanks to our players, they pretty much did this. We've got six guys in the all-star game so I'm pumped to coach those guys up there in the game."

The All-Star show is June 8th and 9th in Lexington County at the home of the Blowfish.
