The Savannah Bananas started the scoring, but the Lexington County Blowfish had plenty of runs saved for later.
The Blowfish scored three runs in the 7th to take the lead, and went on to beat the Bananas at home, 7-4.
Bethune-Cookman redshirt senior Zach Spivey hit a solo homer to lead off the 7th inning and tie the game, and the Blowfish took the lead on a Chandler Jenkins RBI single. The Bananas got out of the inning, but not before a bases loaded walk allowed the Blowfish to tally one more run.
Lexington County added an insurance run in the 8th when Spivey took home on a double steal.
Savannah looked good early. An RBI double to deep center field off the bat of Garrett Delano got the Bananas on the board in the second. The club added two more runs an inning later on Connor Hamilton's RBI single through the left side and Delano's sac fly to center.
The loss drops the Bananas to 20-9. The team now travels to Macon for a Friday night road game against the Bacon.
