BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) - The Town of Bluffton has narrowed their search for the next Bluffton Police Department chief down to two candidates.

The town manager says Herbert Blake and Christoper Chapmond are the finalists.

Blake is currently the chief of police for the City of Hendersonville, North Carolina. He has been chief there since 2008. Blake was also chief of police for seven years in Loris, South Carolina.

Christopher Chapmond is currently the assistant police chief for the Hot Springs, Arkansas Police Department. He has worked for the department since 1996 and has held multiple positions.

The final round of interviews for the finalists will include a public forum on Wednesday, July 18. Attendees will be able to meet the candidates.
