STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) - Tormenta FC knows where it will be playing its Southern Conference semi-final matchup. Thankfully, it's at home.
Statesboro has been announced as the host city for the Final Four of the Southern Conference of the Premier Development League.
Tormenta claimed the Deep South Division crown with an impressive 3-0 victory against the Birmingham Hammers.
The semi-final games will take place at Erk Russel Park on the campus of Georgia Southern University. The games are scheduled for July 20 and 21.
The championship game will take place on July 28.
Tormenta has not lost a regular season home game since May 31, 2017.
This is Tormenta's first division championship, in only its third year of existence. It will also be the squad's final season in the PDL. The team is turning pro, moving to the third division of professional soccer in the United States in 2019.
