LIBERTY CO., GA (WTOC) - The Liberty County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a husband and wife in Gum Branch.
Liberty County Sheriff Steve Sikes said the bodies of Billy Lupo, 53, and his wife Ashley, 35, were discovered at their home on the 100 block of Howard Road by a family member Thursday morning.
Sikes said the bodies were discovered around 9 a.m. by Billy Lupo's brother who called authorities.
According to Sikes, the bodies will be taken to the GBI Crime Lab in Savannah to determine the cause of death.
The sheriff's office says there is no connection between this incident and the homicide on Fort Stewart that happened Tuesday.
