BOILING SPRINGS, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Fire officials said a road in Spartanburg County is blocked after a fire at an abandoned home Thursday afternoon.

The fire occurred at a two-story home on Rainbow Lake Road in Boiling Springs. Fire Chief Scott Miller said crews responded to the call around 2:10 p.m.

Chief Miller said the home was deep in the woods and a bulldozer had to clear a path for fire crews.

The house was built in 1910 and was abandoned for at least ten years. There was no power connected to the house, Chief Miller said.

The road re-opened by 5:30 p.m.
