SOUTH CAROLINA (WTOC) - A South Carolina state electric utility company is investigating its own board and top executives. An abandoned nuclear project left thousands without jobs and left utility customers paying more on their electric bills.
SCANA hired two outside accounting and management executives to investigate "mismanagement claims" alleged in lawsuits against S-C-E and G.
The electric company and Santee Cooper spent more than 9 billion dollars on the VC Summer nuclear project in Fairfield County. They abandoned it last year.
