BEAUFORT, SC (WTOC) - Investigators from the Beaufort Police Department busted a gas station Friday for selling "nationally-known, mass-produced synthetic urine product, for the purpose of defrauding drug tests."
Undercover officers and informants purchased the product from the Sunoco gas station on 1190 Ribaut Road, Beaufort, South Carolina. It is illegal in South Carolina to sale urine and adulterants for the purpose of defrauding drug or alcohol screenings.
An employee at the gas station told an informant that the product could beat "any drug test."
There is an on-going case and criminal charges are pending.
The misdemeanor could result in a $5,000 fine and or three years in prison.
