SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Hospitals in Georgia that are owned by Hospital Corporation of America - including Memorial University Medical Center - could soon be dropped from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia's network.

Memorial Health officials said HCA's three-year contract ends on Sep. 30.

So, if an agreement is not reached in a month this could potentially impact anyone who carries Blue Cross Blue Shield.

But HCA and Blue Cross Blue Shield are actively working on a new agreement to ensure there will be no lapse in coverage.
