Fort Stewart soldier killed while on vacation in Virgin Islands

FORT STEWART (WTOC) - Military officials say a Fort Stewart soldier was killed while home on vacation in St. Croix, Virgin Islands.

The body of Private First Class Nagi Jarvis was discovered on August 28th. He was a 22-year-old tank crewman assigned to the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division.

Jarvis had served in the Army for 21 months and Fort Stewart was his first assignment. He had no operational deployments.
