Savannah Coast Guard Aids in Florida Rescue

Yesterday was busy for Coast Guard Air Station Savannah. A large sailboat began taking in water about a mile off Flagler Beach, Florida. Three people were on board as rough seas battered the 40-foot boat. One of them sent an SOS to the Coast Guard.

The Florida Coast Guard and Air Station Savannah responded quickly. Air Station Savannah kept watch from above as a Coast Guard rescue boat escorted the sailboat safely back to shore.
