Soldier Sentenced in Wife's Murder

Army Spc. Steven Calhoun was found guilty of attempted murder, conspiracy, and adultery in a general court-martial which concluded in late September. Calhoun will spend 20 years in prison for his role in conspiring along with his girlfriend to kill his wife in May.

His girlfriend, Shana Harris, has pleaded guilty to aggravated assault in US District Court and is awaiting sentencing.

Calhoun has been transferred to Fort Leavenworth to serve out his 20-year sentence.
