If you know someone with Alzheimer's, you know how devastating the disease can be. To help, some in the Low Country are trying to raise money and awareness for the disease through a Memory Walk this weekend.
Organizers say it's a fundraiser as well as an awareness-raiser. They want people to know about Alzheimer's disease and the effects on our nation.
The Palmetto chapter of the Alzheimer's Association is sponsoring a the walk this Saturday, November 12, at the Sun City Pavilion.
Registration begins at 10:30am and the walk begins at noon. For more information, visit www.palmettomemorywalk.kintera.org or call 1-800-543-8692.
