It was another happy night for some military families as more soldiers came home. Last night at Fort Stewart, Third Infantry Division Support Troops Battalion soldiers marched on American soil for the first time since their deployment 11 months ago.
Their battalion was part of the support effort in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Family and friends waited anxiously for their debut and after sitting through a brief ceremony, it was time for their reunion.
"Well it's been really difficult, being a single parent," said military husband Albert Carter. "We left our daughter at home and we want to spend some quality time together. We'll pick her up first thing in the morning."
