Savannah Fire investigators are trying to find out what started a fire early Saturday morning at a Savannah lumber company. The fire broke out around 2:00 a.m. at Daniel Lumber Company. When firefighters arrived, the company's office on East Gwinnett Street was engulfed in flames. Crews got the blaze under control about an hour later; however, the building was already heavily damaged.
Most of the lumber yard was salvaged. The owners of Daniel Lumber say they'll stay in business. They say employees should still report to work on Monday.
