Commissioners Want Former Educator for County Administrator

Dr. Michael Moore made quite a name for himself as Effingham County schools superintendent. Now he may have a career change in his future. The newly retired Moore is being considered for a top county position.

The board of commissioners wants to make the former superintendent their new interim county administrator.

In 2003, Moore was named Georgia's School Superintendent of the Year. Moore worked with Effingham County Schools for 35 years, 29 of them as the superintendent. He retired this month.

We'll keep you posted on his new job offer.
