Historic Rail Car Moved to Savannah

It sounds like a contradiction, but there's a brand-new piece of history in Savannah tonight: a rare, wooden railroad car. An Augusta heating and air company donated the rail car to the Coastal Heritage Society. It rolled into town today on a truck, then crews hoisted it onto the tracks at the Roundhouse Railroad Museum.

They built the car in the 1880s, and after a life on the rails, others used it as an office. And even a home.
