Soldiers Come Home for the Holidays

More than 650 soldiers from the Third Infantry Division arrived home just in time for the holidays and more are expected home today.

Two groups of soldiers got home on Christmas Eve at 1am in the morning another group in the evening. These men and women were stationed in Baghdad for nearly a year.

After marching onto Cottrell Field where their family and friends waited, Garrison Commander, Colonel John Kidd officially welcomed them home. Then after a brief ceremony they were released to spend some well earned time off with their loved ones.
