Third ID Troops Came Home to Spend Christmas With Their Loved Ones
Our own Third ID Troops have been helping to keep the peace in Iraq, but for some of those soldiers, their mission is now over.
Troops with the Second Brigade Combat Team and the Aviation Support Battalion came home bright and early this morning and were enthusiastically greeted by loved ones.
More than 3 hundred soldiers marched in to Cottrell Field this morning giving family members one of the best late Christmas presents they could have ever received. These troops will spend some time with their families then help prepare Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield for the thousands of Third ID soldiers due back starting in January.
