Bar Manager Murdered at Work

An employee of a local bar found the manager dead inside when she went to work today. Police say someone walked into Uncle Harry's, a gentlemen's club on North Lathrop Avenue in Savannah, and shot the manager on duty this morning.

Workers say when they get there, the front doors are usually open. Today, the front doors were locked. They went to a side door, which was open, and that's when they found the body of 45-year-old Greg Blake.

Police investigators swarmed the lounge around 10am this morning after the body was found. Workers tell WTOC the adult entertainment club does not open till 11am, but typically managers arrive around 9am.

Police say between 9am and 10am, someone walked in and shot Blake at least one time, then walked out with an unknown amount of money.

"We have some leads that we're following up," said Det. Mike Izzo of the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department. "I'm not at liberty to discuss them right now, but we did not have any eye witnesses to the incident."

Police will deliver Blake's body to the GBI crime lab for an autopsy. In the meantime, they are asking anyone with information about this murder to call CrimeStoppers. A reward of up to $2,500 is offered.
