Drug Dog Finds Two Kilos of Cocaine After Traffic Stop

A violation for an improper lane change turned into a big drug bust, thanks to a quick-thinking Georgia state trooper and a well-trained Chatham County Sheriff's Department drug dog.

James Vereen, 42, was pulled over about 4pm yesterday afternoon on Interstate 95. The trooper was going to issue a warning, but he says Vareen was acting very nervous, so he called in a K-9 officer. The dog alerted on the car and came up with two kilos of cocaine worth about $200,000 on the street.

Vereen's is in the Chatham County jail charged with cocaine trafficking and improper lane change.
